How does my refund work?

Sometimes, travel plans might hit a bump. If your booking has been canceled, it's important to understand the refund process based on the cancellation policy.

How do I check my refund eligibility?

To verify your eligibility for a refund due to cancellation, review the guest cancellation policy. If the host would like to initiate the cancellation, please check FAQ- What happens if host cancels my confirmed booking?

When will I get the refund? 

  • For bookings successfully canceled within the cancellation period, you'll automatically receive a refund using your original payment method. Upon cancellation, you'll receive confirmation along with refund details. Depending on your card issuer, your bank might take up to 14 days to process the refund. 

  • If the booking is canceled outside of the cancelation period, you'll receive a cancellation confirmation email, but no automatic refund will be processed. As the booking payout has already been sent to the host, you'll need to contact the host directly to discuss a refund. If the host agrees to a refund outside of the policy, provide your IBAN so the host can send the agreed amount back to you.
