We understand that sometimes you need a break or do not have time for hosting. In this case, you have two possibilities to manage your availability on the calendar:
If you already know in advance that you won’t be able to host in a certain time frame, you can block these dates for bookings. How to do that? You can check this article: How to manage the availability of my spot for more information.
We would recommend you use this option instead of pausing/deactivating the spot because it allows your spot to stay visible online and to receive future bookings.
If you get sick suddenly or encounter an unexpected situation that requires you to take a longer pause from hosting, you can pause your spot for this time frame. To do that, simply log into your account and click on “Manage Spots”.
Here, choose the spot you want to pause and simply click on “deactivate”.
* Please be aware: If you deactivate your spot, but have upcoming bookings in the future, these bookings will still take place unless you cancel them. So, there might be guests arriving at your spot even though it has been paused.
Get back online again:
As soon as you want your spot to go online again, you can click on “Republish” and the spot will be back on the website.
If you want to delete a spot you’re not offering anymore or you want to quit hosting, we’re sad to see you leave and would like to hear from you via email the reason why you want to stop hosting: spots-support@roadsurfer.com
If you have never received a booking or created a blocker in the calendar before, you can go to your spot by clicking on the “trashcan” symbol:
If you've had any bookings or set-up blockers on the calendar before, spots cannot be deleted due to accounting reasons. This includes past or future bookings, as roadsurfer spots are legally obligated to retain this information. However, you can still pause your spot, preventing it from being booked online.
