How can I cancel or refund a booking as a host?

Host cancellation policy

  • If the check-in date is more than 3 days (72 hours) ahead, you have the flexibility to cancel a booking within 48 hours of receiving the booking confirmation.

  • If the check-in date is less than 3 days (72 hours) ahead, you will NOT be able to cancel the booking through our system. Please contact us if you need to cancel the booking and provide the booking ID in your request. 

How to cancel a confirmed booking within the cancellation policy?

Navigate to your spots dashboard and to the "Booking Calendar" section, select the specific booking, and click the cancellation red icon "".

  • If the booking is within the cancellation period, you'll notice the icon in red, and the entire booking amount, along with the roadsurfer service fee, will be automatically refunded to your guest.
  • However, the booking is outside the cancellation period if the icon is greyed out. If you still need to cancel the booking, please get in touch with us referring to the booking ID. 

How to handle guest-initiated booking cancellations? 

Guests can cancel their spot booking up to 7 days before the check-in date.

In this case, the entire booking amount (excluding service fees) will automatically be refunded to the guest, and your spot will become available for booking again on that date. 

If a guest cancels within 7 days before their arrival, there will be NO refund to the guest. As a host, you will receive the total rent amount as usual. 

As a host, if you decide to provide a refund to the guest despite the cancellation policy, please contact your guest(s) directly through the roadsurfer chat or call your guest to arrange the refund to their IBAN. FAQ- How can I reach my guest?
