Our payment provider will need the account owner’s information for account activation to make sure we send payouts to the right person. Thus, the following information must be provided to complete the identity verification process when you first created your Adyen account.
For Italy and Spain, account holders are recommended to provide their national identification number. Please see below:

The legal entity type determines whose information is needed. More details as below:
Registration as a private person (Legal entity- Individual):
Please provide the following information about the person or sole proprietor, which must be the same person as the bank account holder.
Registration as business owner (Legal entity- Business):
- If you are hosting within the European Economic Area (such as Austria, Germany, France, Spain, Portugal, etc.), please provide personal information for 2 roles- at least 1 owner and 1 signatory.

Owner: who owns 25% and above of your company
Controlling person: who makes major business decisions
Signatory: who has signing authority.
