What is required for my identity verification?

What's identity verification?

To ensure the safety of the online platform, our payment partner, Adyen, is required to verify that the personal information matches the Personally Identifiable Information (PII) you provided during onboarding.

  • If you are an individual account holder or sole proprietor, you must provide your ID.

  • If you are representing a company, partnership, or association, and need to provide the personal information of three decision-makers (owner, signatory, and controller). You must submit IDs for all of them. These roles can be filled by one person, but if there are multiple decision-makers, please upload each person's ID.

For example, if one person is both the owner and signatory and another person is the controller, you will need to upload both their IDs for verification
What types of identity documents are accepted?
There are 3 types of ID you can upload for verification:
  • Passport: Must be the data page (picture, MRZ, and details)
  • Identity card: Must be a government-issued identity card. Front and back, each side in its file.
  • Driver's license: Front and back, each side in its file

If you are registered as a business and have more than one decision maker, please upload a photo ID for each contact person.

What's the requirements for all documents?
Please ensure your ID documents meet ALL the following requirements:
  • Valid: The document must be valid for at least 6 months.
  • Clear and readable: All information should be legible and machine-readable. Make sure even the smallest text is clear and not blurry.
  • Full color: The ID should be in full color, not black and white, and should not apply any filters or edits.
  • Uncropped and straight: The entire ID, including all four corners, should be visible, with no folds or coverings.

If you are uploaded manually, please make sure your uploaded file format and size meets the requirements:

  • Formats: JPEG, JPG, PNG, or PDF (maximum 1 file)
  • Size for PDFs: minimum 1 KB, maximum 15 MB
  • Size for other formats: minimum 100 KB, maximum 15 MB
Why was my ID verification rejected?

There are several reasons why your ID verification may have been rejected. Here are some common issues to check:

  1. Mismatched Information: The personal information provided during onboarding must match the details on your ID. Ensure that the name, date of birth, and other personal information on the ID are correct and consistent with what was submitted.
  2. Invalid or Expired Document: Your ID must be valid for at least 6 months. If the document is expired or about to expire, it will be rejected.
  3. Poor Image Quality: If the image of your ID is unclear, blurry, or cropped, it may be rejected. Ensure the ID is fully visible, in full color, and free from any filters or edits.
  4. Incorrect Document Type: Only government-issued IDs such as passports, identity cards, and driver’s licenses are accepted. If you upload an unsupported document, it will be rejected.
  5. Missing or Incomplete Documents: If you are representing a company or partnership and have multiple decision-makers, all relevant IDs must be provided. Missing IDs for any decision-makers will lead to rejection.
  6. Incorrect File Format or Size: Ensure your file meets the required format (JPEG, JPG, PNG, or PDF) and size (for PDFs: 1 KB to 15 MB, for other formats: 100 KB to 15 MB).
