You would have to ask your municipality or city whether a tax is due in your region.
In general, there is a distinction in Germany between visitor's tax and bed/tourism tax:
- A visitor's tax (§ 43 KAG) is a municipal tax that is owed by the traveller and which you can pay as a representative for your guest. You can include the amount in your price and show it separately in your description text.
- A bed tax/tourism tax (e.g. Hamburg's "culture and tourism tax" or Amsterdam's "city tax") is a tax owed by you, which does not have to be shown separately and which you have to pay directly to the city as a tax.
